MACUSHIELD® GOLD

MacuShield Gold provides a MacuShield formulation with added vitamins and minerals. It contains the three macular carotenoids: meso-zeaxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin. These are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macular pigment which protects the millions of photoreceptor cells located in this small region of the central retina.

The addition of copper, vitamin C and vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

These supplements are usually advised to those who show signs of macular degeneration.
