Best Glasses Brands

At Chakshu London we have spent many days and months debating on which glasses brands we would like to stock. We are passionate about glasses, the way they look & feel and we wanted to make sure we are offering the best eyewear brands available in the world today. All of our chosen brands are from independent manufacturers and not under the umbrella company of the well known glasses manufacturers Luxottica, Marcolin and Safilo, who currently own a large percentage of the glasses market share. 

Let’s start with our own brand, Chakshu London. Designed by the co-founders and manufactured in a small family run factory in a village east of Naples, Italy. Our glasses have classic shapes with bold colours. They are made from a premium Italian acetate called Mazzucchelli, which makes them lightweight and durable. They are very affordable and you can be sure you’ll get lots of compliments by wearing them too. 

Barton Perreira. Founded and designed by Bill Barton and Patty Perreira, two of the three people behind the popular Oliver People’s glasses (before they were taken over by Luxottica). Their glasses are handmade in Japan, using Japanese Zyl, a material known for being ultra lightweight making Barton Perreira glasses incredibly comfortable to wear. Their designs are beautiful and have been worn by many celebrities. In our eyes, Barton Perreira is definitely one of the best eyewear brands out there currently. 

Faca a Face. Face a Face glasses are bold and allows the wearer to be expressive. Made in France, they do not follow normal glasses trends. Their glasses are unique. If you want to be different and stand out from the crowd then Face a Face glasses need to be your go to brand. 

SALT. Salt glasses are just great. There are not many people who will not find a SALT pair of glasses that is not on their shortlist. A Californian brand that has taken inspiration from nature and produced a high quality product made by skilled artisans in Japan. 

Lunor. Lunor glasses, share a similar value to our own brand. They are designed by optometrists. This mean that lunor glasses are made to fit perfectly, all measurements when designing the glasses have been taken into consideration. With sterling silver hinges and their beautiful choice of classic colours, the elegance projected by Lunor glasses put them in a league of their own. 

L.G.R. glasses and sunglasses are worn and endorsed by many celebrities, including Prince William, Christinano Ronaldo, Gigi Hadid and many more. Their sunglasses are unique as they are made from tempered glass, offering better optics. Handmade by skilled artisans in Italy.

Nine glasses. A brand producing beautifully designed titanium glasses. Nine glasses weigh no more than 9 grams, hence the name nine. Their mission is to build an international brand, founded on their passion for state of the art production techniques, uncompromising quality and the joy of simplicity. 

Savile Row. Savile Row are one the last remaining manufacturers in the whole of the UK and the only producer of glasses made from rolled gold. Savile Row glasses are timeless, yet have a brilliant vintage feel about them. They can be made bespoke to your own personal measurements. Savile Row glasses are perfect for those that love timeless fashion and have a passion for details.
